This insulation tax credit is in addition to any credits previously taken for insulation and are capped at $500 per 0.5 kW generated.
- Tax credit of 30% of the total installed cost with no upper limit through 2032.
- Both existing homes and new construction qualify.
- Both principle residences and second homes qualify. Rentals do not qualify.
- Installation costs are covered.
- Submit IRS FORM 5695 with your taxes.
- Keep a copy of the Manufacturer's Certification Statement for your records.
